All Mafia 2 Playboy

In Mafia II, which is now available in a Remastered Edition, there are 50 collectible copies of Playboy magazines hidden throughout the game. Notably, Playboy's first issue came out in 1953, so every single one found in Mafia II is clearly the product of a careless time-traveler. Here's when and where to find all 50.

The first collectible you find in Mafia II, whether it's an issue of Playboy or a wanted poster, will unlock the bronze Trophy/achievement Collector's Item. If you go on to find and pick up all 50 magazines, you get the silver Trophy/achievement Ladies' Man.

All of the magazines are really easy to miss on your first time through the game. Many of them are carefully hidden, they're almost all exclusive to the chapter in which they're found (and the lone exception is almost certainly a glitch), they're difficult to tell apart from ordinary environmental clutter, and there's no particular indication when one's around unless you're close enough to get the button prompt to pick one up. Fortunately, you can go back and replay any chapter that you've already finished via Chapter Select in the main menu.

The following list sorts the magazines by their in-game issue number. Notably, this isn't the order in which they're found. Even in chapters like 4 where all three magazines are consecutively numbered, you probably won't find them in that order. Again, I'm blaming this on fumble-fingered time travelers and moving on.

The weirdest thing about Mafia II in 2020 is that the most dated thing about the game set in 1945 and 1951 is the presence of actual dead-tree copies of Playboy magazine. It already feels like something you'd find in a time capsule. Then again, that may be down to how much time I've spent playing World War II games. https://mafiagame.fandom.com/wiki/Playboy_Magazines_(Mafia_II)

Card Sharp
Find all of the Wanted postersThere were a total of 159 wanted posters however, for this version of Mafia 2 they’ve added 30 new wanted posters!VideoLink of the original 159 and VideoLink of new 30 posters.

Difficulty Achievements

Made Man
Finish the story on Medium difficulty level or higher.
Poster

Tough Nut
Finish the story on Hard difficulty level.Hard difficulty isn’t too bad, just make sure you are using cover as much as possible and you should be able to finish the game without too much trouble.

Car Achievements

Playboy

Get Rich or Die Flyin’
Get all wheels of your car in the air for atleast 20 meters and then touch the ground againThis achievement is quite easy, I got it from driving fast over this little decline into the tunnel.⠀

Pedal to the Metal
Travel at 125 mph.The best car to get this achievement with is the Ascot Bailey, you get one in chapter 11, after helping Leo. I’d recommend taking it to a body shop and tuning it to max (which will also get you the dream handling achievement) then taking it on a long stretch of highway and driving as fast as you can.

One Careful Owner
Travel a total of 50 miles in one vehicle.Self explanatory, just drive one car for the whole game and you should get it. (When in the garage menu you can see how far you’ve travelled in a car)
Proper Scrapper
Sell 5 vehicles to Mike Bruski at the scrapyard.

At Bruski’s scrapyard you can find a car crusher, to get this achievement just drive a car inside the crusher and press the button at the top of the stairs 5 different times.

Exporter
Sell 5 vehicles to Derek at the dock.

This achievement is a little bit harder, during chapter 8 you’ll need to sell a car to Derek at the dock, after this you can sell him any high quality cars you find by driving them on top of the lift the same way you did in chapter 8, you can no longer sell cars to Derek after chapter 12. Here is a list of the types of cars he will accept:

Ascot Bailey S200 – $2497.50
Berkley Kingfisher – $2500
ISW 508 – $4500
Lassiter Series 75 Hollywood – $2585
Lassiter Series 69 – $1750
Shubert Frigate – $1750
Jefferson Provincial – $1600
Smith Thunderbolt – $1350

A good place to find nice cars, mostly Jefferson Provincials is the observatory parking lot.

Cruise Control
Keep any vehicle at 30mph or over for 5 or more minutes.

For this achievement I started where the icon is and drove along the highway at just under 40mph. Make sure you drive slowly so you get as much time as possible on the highway since it’s the easiest place to get the achievement.

Tuned Ride
Upgrade one of your cars one level.

You can get this achievement at a body shop, I think DLC cars don’t let you upgrade them so you’ll need to bring in a car found in the world to do it, you’ll need to upgrade a car for the Pedal to the Metal achievement anyway so you won’t need to worry to much about this achievement.

Dream Handling
Upgrade one of your cars to the maximum level.

Same as the achievement above.

Petrol Head
Drive at least 30 different vehicles.

Not very fun or exciting but for this achievement I just ran around breaking into cars then driving them around for a few seconds, getting out and finding a new car until the achievement popped. (It needs to be 30 different types of cars not just 30 separate cars) You can check your progress on the statistics page.

Mafia

Enemy Achievements

Hairdresser
Kill 5 enemies in rapid succession with a headshot.Achievement is self explanatory, I got it during chapter 8.

Knucklehead
Kill a total of 30 enemies using melee attacks. For this achievement I would recommend going to the docks and starting fights with the workers there, if you do this in the city your fight will most likely be broken up by a police officer. Just walk up to them and press mouse 1 with your fists out and it should start a fight.

The Enforcer
Kill 50 enemies. You should get this achievement just from playing through the whole game. (Civilians and Police Officers don’t count)
**I think this achievement is currently bugged, hopefully they’ll release a patch soon.

Miscellaneous Achievements

Stuck Up
Rob 5 stores in under 5 minutes. These are the stores that I chose to rob, diners and gun stores are quite difficult so I avoided those, after robbing these stores I still had 1:30 left over, the gas stations are easy, just point your gun at the clerk then run past him loot the register and leave, clothing stores are a bit harder, I’d recommend shooting any men in the store then robbing the register and leaving.

Sharp Suiter
Buy your first luxury suit.To get this achievement you need to buy a suit from Vangel’s, an upscale clothing store found in midtown near Lincoln Park. It shows up as “Vangel’s” on the map.

Hard to Kill
The police want you dead. Survive for 10 minutes! This achievement is actually quite easy, you’ll need to find an armoured truck, You’ll see them pretty often (they only spawn during the second half of the game) once you get a hold of one, run people over or shoot them until you have 4 stars (3 won’t count you need 4) Then park your truck in a corner and wait for 10 minutes! Sorry the pictures are a bit awkward it was hard to take a good screenshot in the corner.

DLC: Joe’s Adventures

Arctic Grave
Push the chief witness into the ice lake in “Joe’s Adventures.”This achievement is a little bit difficult, during the very first mission, “Witness” you will chase a witness across an iced over lake, to get the achievement you need to get the witness into the water, the easiest way to get this is to try and get your car in front of his so that he has to stop, then pulling him out and pushing him into the water. You can also just push his whole car into the water but I find that method is a lot trickier. VideoLink

What Witness?
Finish the Witness level in “Joe’s Adventures.”Story Mission.

Dockyard Discord
Finish the Connection level in “Joe’s Adventures.”Story Mission.

Five Finger Discount
Finish the Supermarket level in “Joe’s Adventures.”Story Mission.
Mind the Goods
Finish the Cathouse level in “Joe’s Adventures.”

Story Mission.

Playboy

Hypersonic
Reach 2000 points for one velocity run in “Joe’s Adventures.”

After you finish the supermarket mission a mission will pop up called Bet on That. When you kill the guy in the Bet on That mission you can take his car, a Delizia Grandamerica. Take the car and finish the mission, then upgrade it to max and start a new mission near a highway, drive your car down the highway as fast as you can. If you mess up you can restart the mission and your car will be fixed again!

Jacked Jumper
Reach 200 points for one Jump in “Joe’s Adventures.”

There are a few different spots where you can get this achievement, however I think the best and easiest place to get it is on a ramp in Hunters Point, video below showing where. Make sure you start a mission before going for the jump as it will only count during a mission. VideoLink

Jack of all Trades
Reach 10 different score actions in one mission in “Joe’s Adventures.”This achievement seems like a lot but isn’t too hard, you need to get all of these in one mission:- Drift
– Velocity
– Jump
– Vehicular Kill
– Explosion Kill
– Burning Kill
– Regular Kill
– Headshot
– Melee Kill
– DemolitionYou can get all of these in the mission Going Out of Business pretty easily, video below of me getting the achievement if you need help. Just make sure you go and buy molotovs and grenades from Harry’s and Giuseppe’s before starting the mission! VideoLink

Driftin’ Daddy-O
Reach 200 points for one Drift in “Joe’s Adventures.”For this achievement I went near where Derek’s office is, started the mission there then drove to the car park as fast as I could and swung my car left and right until I got up to 200 points. It took me a few goes and was a bit tricky, but not too hard. VideoLink

Same Shirt Different Day
Finish Joe’s Adventures on any difficulty.

DLC: Jimmy’s Vendetta

First Step
Complete your first mission in “Jimmy’s Vendetta.”Self Explanatory.

Faster than Light
Achieve a 10x point multiplier in “Jimmy’s Vendetta.”This achievement is quite easy and you should get it just from playing, all you need to do is achieve a 10x multiplier, whether they be kills, explosions, whatever. You can easily get this achievement by starting a mission, getting a shotgun and running around shooting the fuel tanks of cars parked in the street. Killing civilians, police & police cars won’t count for the multiplier.

Armament King
Kill your enemies in “Jimmy’s Vendetta” with every weapon available in the game. Here is a list of every type of gun you’ll need to get a kill with:
I’ve listed where you can buy the guns next to their names. The only gun you need to get a kill with that you can’t buy is the Thompson M1A1, one of the soldiers in the GAI Truck car jacking mission holds one and also 4 star wanted level police will hold them too.
H = Harry
G = Giuseppe
S = Gun Shop

Handguns:
– Magnum (H) (G) (S)
– 1911 Special (G)
– 1911 Semi (S)
– C96 Pistol (H)
– .38 Revolver (S)

Machine Guns:
– Thompson 1928 (H)
– MP40 (H)
– Grease Gun (H)
– .38 SMG (H)

Shotgun/Rifles:
– Shotgun (H) (S)
– M1 Garand (H) (S)
– Kar98 Rifle (H)

Throwables
– Grenade (H)
– Molotovs (G)

**Make sure it’s the grenade blast itself that kills them and not another explosion caused by the grenade.

Firebug
Destroy 100 vehicles in “Jimmy’s Vendetta.”

Self explanatory, just shoot the fuel cap and they should explode.

Sharp Shooter
Kill 100 enemies by headshots in “Jimmy’s Vendetta.”

Self explanatory.

Carnapper
Finish all Car Dealer missions in “Jimmy’s Vendetta.”

Self explanatory.

Massacre
Kill 1,000 enemies in “Jimmy’s Vendetta.”

For this achievement, I kept doing the mission called “The Don” over and over again, letting the enemies at the end of the mission kill me so it would restart and I could kill them all over again.

Mafia 2 Playboy All Poster Download

Millionaire
Earn 1,000,000 points in “Jimmy’s Vendetta.”

This achievement is a bit of a pain and the best way to get it is to use an old glitch then leave the game running for a few hours and eventually it will unlock! However if you’re not into glitches, you should play the game at hard difficulty as all of your points during missions are doubled at the end. Without using the glitch the achievement will take a lot of time and you’ll probably need to replay lots of missions to get the highest possible score you can while stringing together combos. VideoLink

Explorer
Drive a total of 1,000 miles in vehicles in “Jimmy’s Vendetta.”You can use the same strategy as in the video above for this achievement, however you’ll need to stop your car from falling at around 990 miles and drive the rest of the way otherwise it won’t count. If you don’t want to use that method unfortunately you’ll just have to drive around until you reach 1000 miles! I did this the proper way in the classic version and it took me days and days of driving, and around 100 hours.

Revenged
Finish “Jimmy’s Vendetta” on any difficulty level.

That’s all we are sharing today in Mafia II: Definitive Edition 100% Achievement Guide, if there are anything you want to add please feel free to leave a comment below and we’ll see you soon.
