(Image: EPIC) Fortnite Season 4 is finally coming. In the most recent update from developer Epic, we've seen two different things: Firstly, a tweet was put out by the company, teasing what appears to be a superhero theme with the impact of the comet. Secondly, an image was posted the game's website that simply reads Brace for Impact!

The game “A Total War Saga: TROY” was released on the 13th of August, 2020, and through the Epic Games Store it was delivered for free. This game will eventually cost users approximately $50, but for now, it’s available with a tap of the “GET” button. This is the latest game that’s “free” through the Epic Games Store as such.

The Epic Games Store will release A Total War Saga: TROY on the 13th of August, 2020, “FREE to claim on the Epic Store for the first 24 hours!” Once you’ve signed up with an Epic account and download the Epic Store, you’ll tap said GET button, then you’ll have the game to play for free, forever, or until the Epic Store closes or you decide to get rid of said Epic Store.

This game was developed for use on both Windows and Apple (macOS) machines. While it’s not all that uncommon nowadays for a major title to work on a platform outside of Windows, it’s certainly a welcome sign that a game like this would work on a computer made by Apple.

The developer of this game was Creative Assembly, and the title was published by SEGA. This game is a rarity in our modern multiplayer online competition sort of gaming universe, in that it is a single player strategy game.

This game is “inspired by The Iliad” at the point at which the Trojan War struck our Earth with conflict the likes of which had never been seen before. “In this legendary age, heroes walk the earth. In an act that shocks the world, audacious Paris, prince of Troy, elopes with the beautiful queen of Sparta. As they sail away, King Menelaus curses her name. He vows to bring his wife home – whatever the cost!”

You might also have seen this story played out in the movie TROY, with Diane Kruger as Helen of Troy, Orlando Bloom as Paris, Brian Cox and Agamemnon, and Brad Pitt as Achilles. Early reviews suggest this is a relatively decent game – or at least one worth the effort of opening the Epic Store for to tap GET!

Story Timeline

Fortnite'sseason 3 is reaching its catastrophic conclusion as today marks the last day of the season. Beginning tomorrow, Epic Games will usher in a new era for Fortnite, and hopefully bring forth a complete revelation of all their new cosmetics that they’ve been hinting at.

Over the past week, the game’s Twitter has been fraught with teases, comets, and questions about what their messages mean. Epic themselves have been steadfast in their silence, subtly implicating at what’s to come with their crashing comet image. The game itself has brazenly featured meteors crashing and destroying parts of the map, but with their latest tease it seems the comet is officially actually launching season 4.

The newest image comes via the Fortnite Twitter, and features four characters emerging from what looks to be an impact crater. Notably, there are no buildings, trees, or even a clear sky. Only the glowing image obscuring the outfits of the characters, although the Elite Agent and Steelsight are clearly noticeable. The third character between the Elite Agent and Steelsight, however, seems to be a new skin. The glowing eyes are reminiscent of the Raven, albeit without the hood.

The glowing eyes, however, do slightly resemble that of the masked hero in the original comet tease, although the blue light and silhouette convey a more nefarious presence. One thing that seems for certain is that the comet will be crashing, as the developer cautions players to heed their words and 'brace for impact.'

What is still in the air is exactly what 'impact' the comet will have on the game. Meteors have been laying waste to the island, and rumors indicate that either Dusty Depot or the Tilted Towers could be destroyed by the incoming comet, while one leaker posits that the map itself may be updated weekly. Players will not have to wait long to see if any of these predictions come to fruition, except perhaps only a brief period of downtime as the game is updated to include the new content.

This is an exciting time for fans of the game as the question of the comet has been in play ever since it started out as a potential April fool's joke. Unless Epic decided that it was April fool's month and we've been strung far along this whole time, the big question may finally be answered and superhero content finally unveiled.
